Withlacoochee Area Legal Services, Inc. For those persons who cannot afford a private attorney... Withlacoochee Area Legal Services, Inc. (WALS), is a non-profit corporation serving Marion, Citrus, Hernando and Sumter counties. They provide legal assistance to low income individuals and families in civil legal matters. Free legal assistance is available at WALS to those residents fo the four county service areas whose income falls within limits set by Federal guidelines. Please contact the nearest WALS office if you need help and think you might qualify. (Income guidelines for Seniors can be waived if Title III funding is available) Services Offered... Community Legal Education WALS offers Community Legal Education in an effort to make potential clients aware of their rights and to prevent possible legal problems from developing. The education project provides informative printed materials and can provide speakers and workshops for community groups.
