County (2005)
Hi! I'm honored to be a part of PHPF
and I'm glad you're visiting this site. If you want the best
resources in Marion County, then join us at our monthly support
group meetings. The best parents in town get together to share
and learn from one another. That's how I began my
venture. After my second child was diagnosed with Autism, I
remember I attended a local group, feeling lost yet knowing that
this was the way to do what was best f or our family: my
daughter Stephanie is 15, and my three sons Ben, 14, Nicholas, 12 and
Joseph coming up on 6 years old. My wonderful husband,
Michael, is a good father and my number one support team
member. Having him as constant back up enables me to give back
to special needs families in our community what was once given to
me. I am a Florida Atlantic University graduate with a BA in
Psychology. I am a Board
Certified Associate Behavior Analyst and I am also ESE
certified. I taught special needs children at New Horizon Academy in
Ocala for two years, and now teach with Marion County
Public School System. Prior to working in the
special needs field, I was a youth minister for 11 years and also
did a little work in fund-raising. I enjoy creating memorable
events for others, watching my kids grow, and meeting new
people. See you at the meetings.
