"Choose
Your Battles"

"And
So I Cry!"
The
Whining Battle
Both
of my sons are over 5' tall and weigh over 130 pounds! They
look and dress like everyone else, and most of the time they act
like everyone else. But there was a time, not too long ago,
when these enormous young men would cry and scream for what seemed
like no apparent reason, and it was as though their main intent for
that moment was to embarrass their mother or their older sister by
doing it non-stop in front of the largest audience they could
find. I'm not certain which affected me the most: when they
performed this incredible feat in public before the "expert
critics" who felt the need to share their observations about a
situation they know nothing about; or when I was at home rushing to
get a million things done (mostly in the hopes of settling them
down) while functioning on a mere 2 hours of sleep, and they just
wouldn't stop whining no matter how much I asked them why! For
sanity and security sake, this battle had to be won.
